Help get Loukas Rainger home safely from Thailand.
Nationwide
Last week my nephew Loukas was arrested and accused of stealing a watch Thailand. When he was picking up his items from the tray after the security scan, he inadvertently picked up an item that was mixed up in his tray with his belongings. It was an innocent oversight and only later when left holding the item that wasn’t his, that he realised what had happened. He is 18, it’s his first time travelling alone in a foreign land in a very foreign environment to what he is used to and was overwhelmed. Typically he would have alerted his parents but as they were not there to help guide him in the situation, so he focused on getting himself to his next location. Thai airport security can be intimidating with their guns on display and he was probably scared to approach them.
**UPDATE Loukas has been granted bail on the 21st July and has been reunited with his mother Tash. After being in remand for 6 days in remand in Surat Thani prison, he now needs to wait in that province for some months for court proceedings and an outcome.
This page has been set up to help Loukas and his family with flight costs, accommodation, and living costs while they are in Thailand supporting him, and hopefully bringing him home soon.
If you can help in even a small way it will go a long way to ensuring the Rainger family feel supported during this time, and that Loukas can get the best possible help during this ordeal.
I pray for his safe return.
I am his auntie.
