To help cover the costs associated with losing, so suddenly, our beloved Wendy.
Otago
As many of you know, Kylie and Rhianna lost their dear Mum, our Wendy, on Monday 20th April. This was unexpected and heartbreaking. During this time, NZ has been in lock-down and many of us have struggled to know how to support Wendy's girls during their time of loss.
As you might imagine, since Monday, many stories have been shared about our Wendy. The role she played in our lives. The adventures we shared. The good times and the tough. Wendy was generous with her time, her resources, her love and her spirit. Many of us can tell a story of Wendy meeting us where we were in life and supporting us in any way she could. That was who she was at her core. It's safe to say that laughter and tears have bubbled up in equal amounts over the last week.
Wendy's untimely passing is painful, shocking and just doesn't seem fair. However this devastating event has also raised a number of unexpected costs for Kylie and Rhianna. We humbly hope that you can give, even a small amount.
Ahakoa he iti, he pounamu - Despite being small, it is of great value!
We hope this Give-a-Little page will do two things:
A: Give us, friends, families and loved ones an opportunity to offer some tangible help and support to Kylie and Rhianna, as we would have done if the Lock-down restrictions were not so prohibitive to doing so.
B: Help Kylie and Rhianna with the funds that they will need during this time of grief. The cruel reality, is that along with the grief, comes financial costs that can further add to the stress of life.
Thank you for your help and support at this devastating time.
We knew and loved Wendy and are some of Kylie and Rhianna's good friends. We want to make sure that financial stress doesn't add to their grief.
Any money raised will go directly to Wendy's girls, Kylie and Rhianna. It will be used to cover the funeral director's costs, as well as any debt or bills that will be associated with Wendy's household.
