Support for Rikus’ family after his sudden passing
This page is set up to help with funeral costs and to provide financial support to Rikus’ children.

On Saturday 1st July 2023 Rikus had a fatal motorbike accident, he was taken far too soon at the age of 29.
Rikus was a dearly loved son, brother, a proud Dad to two beautiful boys aged 5 & 6 and he was an amazing friend to many.
His family and friends are absolutely heart broken and are still coming to terms with this devastating news and their sudden loss.
We have had people asking how they can help during this time which has led me to starting this page. With the family’s permission we are collecting funds to help in a practical way by assisting them with funeral expenses. Any money raised above and beyond funeral costs will be put into an account/trust for the children. This will be for the sole benefit of the children as they learn to navigate life without their Dad.
To anyone who knew Rikus you would know he was a beautiful person that truly had a heart of gold. He would light up any room he entered and he always put everyone else’s needs above his own.
His sudden passing has left a massive hole in many hearts and any support during this time is greatly appreciated.

Use of funds
All donations will go towards funeral expenses and any money raised above and beyond funeral costs will be put into an account/trust for the children (this is for the sole benefit of the children).
Note the family is aware that ACC covers some of the funeral costs.
Funds will be paid directly to Rikus’ Mother, Magda Kruger.
