Support for Shaun

Shaun is a much loved member of the Deaf community in New Zealand. He has recently been diagnosed with advanced cancer, which has hit suddenly and with no prior warning. The diagnosis has been a shock to Shaun and his immediate family, and his beloved wife Rachel has had to take time away from work to care for Shaun and their boys at this difficult time.

Shaun is an artist, who has captured the hearts of so many with his illustrations for the NZSL dictionary, and his beautiful theatre performances in NZSL with Equal Voices Arts, which have toured across NZ and overseas. He brought NZSL for the first time to professional theatre stages in Serbia and Montenegro, and has impacted the lives of so many internationally with his incredible talent, humour and special gift for sharing stories with both Deaf and hearing audiences.

Shaun is one of a kind and spreads joy and light wherever he goes. Any money raised will go towards supporting Shaun and the whanau through this difficult time.
