A heartfelt Givealittle page created to honour the life of 16-year-old Steile Veenendaal and support his grieving whānau with memorial costs
Levin, Manawatu-Wanganui
On Friday, our beloved Steile Veenendaal tragically passed away at just 16 years old.
Steile was a once-in-a-generation young man, an incredibly gifted soul who touched everyone he met. A champion boxer and talented cricketer from Levin, Steile’s sporting career was just beginning to soar. Boxing was one of his happiest places, and he learned so much from the coaches who guided him.
But Steile was far more than an athlete.
He was a sharp thinker, a chess lover, and a natural entrepreneur. Too intelligent for a standard path, he began college-level studies in Year 8. He dreamed big, walked to the beat of his own drum, and often said he’d be a millionaire one day, and with his mind, he truly would have been.
Steile was the beloved first-born son of Sera, an amazing and devoted mum. His loss is immeasurable. He was also the first grandchild of Tracey and Willy, who adore him and were immensely proud. One of Steile’s most treasured relationships was with his little brother Lincoln. They shared games, laughs, and a bond built on deep love. Steile was more than a brother, he was a hero and role model.
This page has been set up to support Steile’s whānau with memorial costs and to give them space to grieve.
Steile, your light was brilliant. You are missed beyond words.
