Support for Stéphan!

As a husband, father of 3, and grandfather of 5 (soon to be 6), my priorities are my family, my church, and my work.

I am in the terminal stage of PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), with my kidneys functioning at almost 0%. I've now been on peritoneal dialysis for the last 2 years, undergoing therapy each night at home.

I know ALL things are possible through God. I know God has gone before me and paved the way for my journey.

My surgeon has decided to remove both kidneys. The many processes have started, with the first surgery of inserting a fistula into my arm for a different dialysis. The kidney removal is planned within the next 3 months. During this time, costs are going to be a lot higher than what we have. It's a daunting and scary time for us.

We are blessed that the surgeries will be covered by the government, but there is a significant amount of personal and unclaimable costs during recovery.

There is travel to and from Auckland, post op travel to the Hamilton Hospital Renal unit for dialysis 3 times a week once my kidneys are removed until a new kidney can be transplanted. Nicole will need to be with me during my surgeries, staying in a motel close by. We will also need to take time off work beyond our annual and sick leave allocations.

We are humbled and grateful and appreciate you so much for the generosity shown to us. It's not easy for us to receive such selfless gestures, and we want to thank everyone for such generosity, love and support.
