Supporting the Musesengwa whānau after the tragic loss of a devoted father and beloved member of our basketball community
Rangiora, Canterbury
On 15th April 2025, our beloved friend, father, and dedicated member of the North Canterbury community, Ndafunzwa Musesengwa tragically lost his life in a car accident.
He was a kind-hearted, hardworking, and deeply devoted family man — a pillar of strength for his three incredible children and a familiar face at basketball courts right across our region. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines or striking up a warm conversation with anyone nearby, his presence lit up every space he entered.
This page has been created to support the Musesengwa whānau during this incredibly difficult time — helping to ease the financial burden of funeral costs, ongoing family needs, and ensuring his tamariki can continue doing what he loved most: watching them thrive.
If you are in a position to contribute, no matter how big or small, your support will make a meaningful difference to this beautiful family as they navigate life without their beloved dad by their side.
Kia kaha, Musesengwa whānau!
We are the local basketball association that had the privilege of supporting Ndafunzwa's three amazing children. Ndafunzwa was a familiar and cherished presence on the sidelines—a dedicated supporter and a friend to many within our community
