Supporting Janine and her son Naz through a devastating medical crisis — helping ease the financial burden so she can focus on his recovery.
Orakei, Auckland
Many of us know Janine as a kind, generous soul — always the first to offer help and never too busy to support a friend in need. Today, it’s our turn to stand beside her.
On Saturday 5th July, her son Naz suffered a life-threatening medical emergency — a torn aorta from his heart to his lower leg. He was flown to Brisbane Hospital for a 12-hour emergency surgery to replace his aorta with a metal one. Though he survived, he remains in critical condition.
Janine immediately flew to Brisbane to be by Naz's side and has remained his rock — supporting him daily through every setback and procedure, offering constant love and care.
Since then, Naz has faced kidney failure, a stroke, and further surgery to drain fluid from around his heart
Despite these unimaginable challenges, Janine remains strong and unwavering. But as you can imagine, this situation has created an overwhelming financial burden.
She has had to take unpaid leave from her job at Orākei Primary, cover travel and parking, all while managing day-to-day living costs.
🙏 We’re asking for your support — to ease some of the burden. She would never ask for help herself, but we know this support will make a world of difference.
Any contribution, big or small, will mean the world.
Let’s show Janine that she’s not alone — that we’re here to hold her up as she fights for her son.
With gratitude,
Friends & Whānau of Janine
