Support Joeys Recovery

Last Thursday Joey travelled to Waikato Hospital, to be with specialised doctors & surgeons. Joey successfully completed his almost 7 hour surgery, the doctors were very happy with how he went.

Post surgery Joey is still in high spirits. As one could imagine, this next phase requires a lot of rest to ensure his face heals. Joey is travelling to Waikato weekly for check ups & updates. Joeys eyes are still swollen from surgery, he is experiencing double vision but in the coming weeks this should subside. Joey has a plate on his head which sometime during recovery will be removed, he also has a nose splint on. Nonetheless, he is still positive Joey! We are so happy for his health.

We feel very proud to be apart of this rugby community, the way everyone has wrapped around Joey has been an immense help in such a hard time. We’d like to thank each & every person that prayed, donated, visited and messaged Joey or us during these times. It will never be lost on us how much everyone turned up.
