Update
31 July 2025Thank you to everyone who has donated it means a lot. Keegan is doing incredible with his recovery in Auckland. He is now out of what is called post traumatic amnesia, this is great step as it means his thinking and understanding is much clearer. Apart from being physically weak his body is fully functional, so he is up and about doing everyday things, being super fit before his accident has been a massive help with this. At the time of Keegan's accident he had to have life saving surgery called a decompressive craniectomy, this is where they removed a large portion of the skull to relieve the pressure from extreme swelling in the brain. So right now he has to be extremely careful doing everyday activities as the skull is missing. One of the next big steps will be to have the skull that was removed put back in, this is again major surgery. No date has been set for this yet be we hope it will be in the next month or so.
Ashleigh has been taking Poppy up to Auckland a couple of times a week to spend quality time with Keegan, your donations have made this so much easier covering petrol and food so thank you again.
