Support Matt, Lauren and our Whanau following the Tragic loss of our Baby Boy River.

On November 8th, 2023, without us realizing, Our 1 year old Baby Boy, River, wandered into the pool area and drowned, after fighting for 12 days in Starships PICU ward, his little body became tired, and he lost his fight, he knew he was ready to go, and without any pain, or suffering, he closed his eyes and took his last breath wrapped in his mama's arms on 20th November, we are broken, our entire family is suffering. We aren't the type to ask for any kind of help, but as time goes by, and we face a struggle of the holiday period, paired with moving house due to the trauma, we find ourselves in the regrettable position to ask for help, this isn't a decision we have made lightly, as we have spent the last month hating ourselves for losing our boy and feeling like we do not deserve the help, but it has become apparent that we need it, trying to cover bills aswell as prepare for the arrival of our daughter in April has made us realize, we cannot do it alone. We have finished work, for the foreseeable future as we focus on our mental wellbeing, aswell as helping our children deal with the trauma they have gone through and the things they saw that day. We do not expect the stars and moon, we do not expect anything, but we know we need help, so we are trying all avenues. Our Boy was our entire world, he has left a hole in our family that will never be filled, and we Thank each and every person who takes time to even spare a thought for us in this time, Thank you
