Support Medea to Compete for New Zealand!

Hey Everyone,

I am so excited to share that I have been selected to represent New Zealand at two international Olympic Weightlifting events this year!

• 2023 OWF Junior and Under 23 Oceania Championships (Apia, Samoa) 5-7 October

• 2023 IWF Junior World Championships (Guadalajara, Mexico) 15-23 November

Representing New Zealand at the IWF Junior Worlds has been a long-time goal, and is an important steppingstone towards my dream of competing in a future Commonwealth Games.

I hold several National and Regional Championship titles, have previously set NZ Youth records in 2020, and am currently halfway through my studies at the University of Waikato.

It is a huge honour for me to represent NZ at these events, however, international trips are completely self-funded and the costs involved are steep for a full-time University Student-Athlete.

Along with my part-time work savings, and support from family, I am reaching out to friends and the wider community to help me represent New Zealand on the Big Stage!
