Just a quick update to let you know that Fabio has settled in very nicely at pony club. We’re about to finally get a new saddle fitted this weekend and Mina has her first show jumping competition booked in for the 25th April!
He is the cuddliest boy, we love him to bits 🥰
Dear friends
Yesterday marked 6 months since Bill died. It was also the day we confirmed the purchase of Fabio, Mina’s new horse!
Quite a bittersweet and tough day for her but also the start of a new chapter, in part thanks to all of you.
When she called me last weekend after her first ride with Fabio, after she had only said 2 words, (“Allo maman?”) I could tell she had fallen in love with him, as I hadn’t heard her sound that happy since the 1st September last year.
Fabio is a big boy at 17.3hh (that’s 1m80 at the shoulder), 10 years old, super gentle on the ground and a great show jumper which is Mina’s chosen competition.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart again for your contribution. It wasn’t just the financial help, but also showing Mina the love and support of a community.

Happy new year everyone! We finished the year on a bit of a sad note, as Mina had found a horse she really loved in Taupō, after weeks and weeks of travelling the North Island to trial a few. Unfortunately he did not pass the vet check yesterday so we are back to square one. But I truly believe there is a horse out there for her that will become her new companion, and teammate in the near future.
Thanks again for your support, it meant the world to us.
