Raising money so I can train my best to qualify for the Olympics.

Canterbury

Hello. I am a Christchurch born and raised climber. I have been climbing competitively for over 10 years.

I have just won the Nationals Climbing Competition, and have qualified to compete at the Oceanias. This even has just been postponed due to Coronavirus, along with the Tokyo Olympics (now in 2021). If I win the Oceanias, I can compete at the Tokyo Olympics Games in 20201.

I would benefit hugely from training in the North Island, NZ and Sydney (when lockdown is complete). I truly feel that with some exposure to facilities overseas, I can become competitive at an international level. For now, I am doing what I can at home to keep strong.

Any money raised will go towards my training and increase my chances to qualify for the Olympics.

Thank you,

Cirrus.

Use of funds

I will spend the money initially on my UK training trip. This will involve paying for travel, accommodation and the chance to work with international coaches.

Any excess will go towards being able to go to international competitions in 2020.
