After a week or so not feeling 100% and thinking it was just a cold ,Stacey Robinson was rushed to hospital via ambulance from the home her, her husband Denny and boys Max(5) and Toby(1) live in Urenui Village the evening on Wednesday 1 August.

After 10 days in Taranaki Base Hospital's ICU with suspected pneumonia she was flown to Waikato Hospital on Wednesday 15 August under went surgery on the Thursday for what now has been confirmed as an abscess on her left lung which had collapsed. This coupled with pneumonia is a poor combination. Nearly a week on from surgery and Stacey has her drains out and is awake for longer periods but will be in Waikato Hospital for some time.

Denny is by her side, and her parents are taking care of Max and Toby whilst trying to keep life as normal as possible for the boys.

Once Stacey is out of Hospital the recovery time at home is 6 weeks, already with no income for three weeks , as a community we are hoping we will pull together to help pay the day to day bills that keep racking up at home plus help Denny out with the costs of being away from home. Accommodation, meals, petrol etc all adding up whilst in the big smoke.

We cant ease the emotional strain of being away from home and family but we can help with the financial strain.

The Tait-Jamieson family would be the first to help any of us out in a time of need, they have huge hearts and it's time for us to get on board and support where support is needed.
