Support the beautiful Humphris family following the tragic loss of their beloved son Carlos

On Friday 29 December 2023, they lost their beautiful son Carlos as the result of a car accident in the Bay of Islands. Carlos was aged 18 and 10 days.

No family can plan for the death of a much-loved son... least of all one so young, and with so much life ahead of him. For those who are lucky enough to have met the family, we know how close they all are, and the huge love they shared with Carlos.

His loss is unimaginable.

Both Judy, his mum, and Carlos, his dad, have been left with not only a huge sense of grief and loss, but a new priority to take the time to support their two other children, Eva and Aidan, plus to support each other.

With that grief comes the kind of burden we can never anticipate. The family is devastated.

Circumstances have led to the family not being able to work during this time, and that means the costs surrounding Carlos' passing and subsequent financial consequences are increasing, some insurance has been helpful during this time, but it is proving not enough to get by.

There is no timeline on the grief of losing a child, and so we are asking for support so they can take the time they need to heal. Through this fund we'd like to take some of the financial burden away, so they are able to grieve together, without the pressure of extenuating circumstances.
