This page has been set up to help cover funeral costs and ease the financial burden after the sudden loss of the Coetzee's beloved son.
Rakaia, Canterbury
On 5th September 2025, the Coetzee family’s world was forever changed when their son, Bentley, aged 13 years, passed away unexpectedly.
Bentley was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend. He had a big heart, a cheeky grin, and touched everyone who knew him.
As the family grieves this devastating loss, they face significant expenses for Bentley’s funeral and related costs. We have created this page so friends, whānau, and the wider community can come together to help ease the financial strain and allow them to focus on healing and supporting their younger children.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re not in a position to give financially, sharing this page with others is just as helpful.
We have already seen an incredible rally of support behind the Coetzee family from everyone who has pitched in so far. Thank you for your love, generosity, and support for them during this heartbreaking time.
Donations will directly go towards Bentleys mum Talei for funeral costs (currently in excess of $15,000). If donations exceed the funeral costs, they will go toward supporting the children, mementos of Bentley's remains and grief counselling.
Your message will be displayed on the page and emailed to the donor.
