Helping support Amber and Quintin as they navigate life-changing injuries, ongoing surgeries, and a long road to recovery ahead.
Geraldine, Canterbury
Last Saturday Amber was involved in a horrific accident that has left her with significant and life-changing injuries. Due to the severity of her condition, she was airlifted to Christchurch Hospital.
Amber has already undergone a nine-hour surgery involving five different medical teams, and has just come out of another major operation today. Sadly, this is only the beginning of what will be a long road ahead. The coming months will involve many more procedures along with a long and difficult road to recovery.
To help ease the immense stress Quintin is currently facing, we have set up this page to support them both during this incredibly tough time. Although Quintin’s workplace has been very supportive, he is still new in his role and has no leave available. This means he is currently taking time off without pay so he can remain by Amber’s side in Christchurch, while still trying to manage their mortgage and everyday living costs.
We are asking for help to ease some of the financial pressure so Quintin can focus entirely on supporting Amber through her surgeries, recovery, and rehabilitation without the added worry of how to keep everything afloat at home.
Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would also mean so much to them.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and aroha during this incredibly difficult time for Amber and Quintin.
Quintin is my brother.
Amber faces a long road of recovery with more surgeries ahead. This fund will help cover bills, mortgage, travel, and daily costs so Quintin can remain by her side in Christchurch.
