Supporting Evelyn Through Her Cancer Treatment

Evelyn was recently diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic melanoma, which has spread to her bones and lungs, a devastating shock after previously beating Stage III melanoma last year. She has now begun an intensive immunotherapy journey and is facing a long and unpredictable road ahead.

Her treatment plan includes a combination of funded and non-funded (ipilimumab) immunotherapy to give her the best possible chance of long-term control. She has been advised this dual therapy offers an approximate 60–70% success rate, compared to around 40% with immunotherapy alone. She will also undergo bone-strengthening treatment due to bone involvement. While some costs are covered, significant medical and day-to-day expenses remain, alongside the strain of reduced income and time away from work.

Anyone who knows Evelyn would describe her as selfless, kind and independent. I’ve had the privilege of knowing her for over 21 years, and she has always put others first. At just 32, she is facing the fight of her life with courage and determination but now it’s time for others to support her.

Funds raised will provide short-term relief, helping ease financial pressure so she can focus fully on treatment, recovery and time with loved ones.
