Supporting Ferg & Becky and their Family Through Treatment

Ferg and Becky are a beloved part of both our Take Kārara and Hāwea Flat school families. As they navigate a cancer journey, we want to make sure they feel supported every step of the way.

Being away for medical treatment creates a massive ripple effect. Beyond the health battle, there are significant hidden costs: travel to and from the hospital, living expenses while away, supporting their wider family and friends who are stepping in to care for the children and the day-to-day logistics of keeping life running smoothly for their family.

We know Ferg and Becky are reluctant to ask for help, but so many in our school communities are still asking how they can continue to help.

Every contribution will go directly toward easing the financial strain that comes with a cancer diagnosis. Things like covering travel, groceries, childcare support and making sure the children's needs aren't being put on hold. By easing some of this pressure we are hoping the family can focus more on what matters most: getting Ferg healthy. Thank you for showing them the incredible care of our community.
