Jack had his placenta cord blood transfer on 29th October. We had a great party that day with decorations, balloons and pizza. A day none of us will forget. We will always be forever grateful for the Italian family.

It has been a rough, painful hard month of recovery for Jack. Caught a few virus and infections which was hard for Jack and us to watch.

Was a long 4 weeks of waiting until his white blood cells appeared. But they have and are continuing to rise slowly each day.

Tomorrow 1st December is Jacks 6th birthday. We will do our best to make it a super special fun day for him.

Such amazing news for such a brave wee man getting so much support from such a loving family.

Jack you had the best birthday ever. A day out in the park with your family and a day of being the special wee guy you are. Your birthday celebrations looked amazing.

Keep up the good work Jack. You are on the home straight now 👍🏻🚀🙏🏻💙

After the initial diagnosis chemo started straight away and we did a 5 week stint at Starship. Once his white blood counts increased we got to go home for 10 days. Which did wonders for everyone’s physical and mental health.

He is now back up in starship and has completed his 2nd round of chemo. It has been a rough 3 weeks dealing with virus. Right now we are waiting on his levels to increase.

Then it is off to theatre for a bone marrow aspiration. This will test to see how the 2nd round of chemo has dealt to the cancer.

We need the cancer to be completely gone before we head to Transplant. His younger brother Austin was lined up to be a donor as he was a perfect match. But now they have just confirmed they have found a match for cord blood in Italy. This is a better option with hopefully a better outcome for Jacks situation. The cord blood arrives next week. It has been frozen since 2016, close to when jack was born end of 2015.

Jack has been so brave and such a little trooper taking most things in his stride. Learning lots of medical terms. He loves all the cards, photos, art and messages been sent in. Helps to make our room bright and colourful.

Thank you to everyone for your love and support.
