This page has been created to support Emma, James and Laura through this challenging time while Laura battles terminal cancer.
Hawke's Bay
Laura was just 1 week out from turning 2 when she was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma - a rare aggressive cancer mostly affecting young children.
For the first 14 months, Laura and her family spent most of their time in Auckland so Laura could receive intensive treatment
Including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, stem cell transplants, and immunotherapy
Brutal and heartbreaking watching Laura get incredibly sick, and even landing in intensive care.
June 2024 - they received the devastating news that Laura had relapsed. Drs consensus was that they wouldn't be able to cure and recommended they focused of Laura's quality of life and make the most of the time they would have left with her.
Emma and James have taken a huge hit financially surviving on one wage while trying to care for there now terminal daughter.
Iv set this page up to help cover bills and to allow them to focus on what really matters- allowing Laura to live the rest of her days to the fullest, however long that may be. Creating memories with their daughter they can cherish forever - 1 being taking her to Australia to visit blueys world and wiggle town while she is still healthy enough to do so.
Emma is my sister and Laura is my niece.
These funds will help cover the families living expenses while off work and also to create memories with Laura.
