We are raising money to support the grieving family of little Miles. 5 year old Miles drowned as a result of a tragic accident at Avalon Park on 14 December. Miles, along with his parents and baby brother, recently arrived in New Zealand and made Wellington their home.
Your contributions will help cover funeral expenses and provide much-needed support to the grieving family.

Funeral and associated costs. If possible, will also contribute to helping family travel to New Zealand for the funeral.
ACC eligibility for funeral costs is unknown at this stage in this case given the family's recent immigration status, however I will update the page when more information becomes available. **Update 16/12 The family will also receive some assistance from ACC towards funeral costs.**

We would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your contribution and aroha. Without your generous donation, it would have been incredibly difficult for us to take Miles back home to Kenya. We are glad and lucky to be part of such an amazing community. We are unable to personally thank each one of you, but we would like to mention Hannah and Allie, the 12-year-old sisters who contributed $20 from their savings to help us with the costs. We were so touched by kindness at a very tender age. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much and may God bless you.
