A page to give nana options to help improve her quality of life while battling Grade 4 brain cancer.
Te Puke, Bay Of Plenty
Hi Family and Friends,
We’re reaching out with love to ask for support for our Nana. After beating lung cancer previously, last year, Nana was diagnosed with Grade 4 glioblastoma (brain cancer). She had the tumour removed successfully along with radiation and chemotherapy, but unfortunately, it has returned. Further surgery, radiation and chemotherapy are no longer options.
There is however, a medicine available in New Zealand, Avastin (Bevacizumab), that may help improve her quality of life. Unfortunately, it is not funded. We don’t know how much time we have left with Nana, but we want to do everything we can to improve her quality of life and make this time as comfortable and as meaningful as possible.
We understand times are tough for everyone, so please don’t feel any pressure to donate — sharing the page means just as much. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
I am one of her granddaughters
All funds raised will go towards the Avastin (Bevacizumab) treatment. If treatment options are not viable, money raised will go directly towards Nana and Grandpa in helping ease the financial burden that has come with grandpa having to leave work since Nana’s diagnosis.
