Support for Rachel Jordan following the helicopter crash.
Auckland
Rachel was the wedding photographer in the helicopter crash on the 12/6. Miraculously all on board the helicopter have survived the crash & for that we are all very thankful.
Rach is a wonderful wife & mother as well as an incredibly talented photographer. Rach has significant injuries & there is going to be a long recovery period.
This page is set up to support her and the family as she recovers.
Rachel & her family live in the far north & is in hospital in Christchurch, costs traveling between the two add up!
Update From Rach:
Rachel has spinal fractures and has had surgery. She also has 5 fractured ribs, lung laceration, fractured sternum, fractured arm in a few places, fractured feet.
Rach has been able to move her legs but is having trouble with her feet and cannot move them but that could change as swelling around her spinal cord goes down. She can however feel people touching her feet which is good.
A friend of Rachel.
The funds will be spent on household expenses, loss of income, travel costs for the family, & any extraneous rehabilitation & medical costs that are not covered by ACC whilst Rachel is recovering.
Update from Rachel: 8 July 8 July 2021
Rachel medically is doing really well the team are looking after her brilliantly. It’s going to be a long recovery journey but everything is on track.
