Supporting Rescue Pugs for 25 years

Since my last update. Life at our Pug Rescue HQ has been busy as usual. Not only with Pugs but behind the scenes with trying to find a new abode for us all.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this past year. It is your support which allows Pugs to continued to be helped where possible. Your support is vital to our survival so I'm always very grateful for every cent. Thank you.

On the Pug scene, Skittle is to be spayed next week and once recovered can then head off on her next adventure. Senior girl Shubie is still to have her face lift. It's not super urgent and with funds getting a bit low I've opted to postpone until the new year. (We never know what the festive season will bring).

7 yr old Pug boy, Rosco, went on trial recently but had to return to foster care when it was discovered a member of the new family was allergic. Rosco is to join us at HQ later next month and hopefully find that perfect home next year.

Wish us luck with finding a new HQ and the subsequent move!

Huge thank you to everyone who continues to help support the Pugs coming into care as well as the permanent residents. The need has increased over the past year, as it has done for every other dog welfare and rescue in NZ. This week has seen 2 new arrivals so the costs are never ending. I've been able to extend the page for a short period of time in the hope we can get through to the Christmas period.

Most grateful thanks again to everyone.

To everyone who has supported our Pugs, and continue to do so. Your kindness helps them get the care they need. Especially when cost of vet care is so high.

Raine and Kato who arrived skinny and malnourished are both thriving. Katos vet work has been completed, Raine needs some further dental work and to be spayed. That will happen within the next week or two. They will then be ready to find their perfect home together.

Meanwhile a new Pug has joined the crew. Zac is a lovely 7 year old black boy. He is in need of some weight loss and has a couple of lumps on his body which need investigating. Appointment with the vet has been made for this. He's a bit of a nervous boy but hopefully will gain confidence. In due course he too will be wanting his perfect home.

    Photo is Zac.

Again, thanks so much for supporting Pugs in need.
