Supporting Student Innovation in Pukekohe High’s Business Hub

Our Business Hub is raising funds to create a hands-on Makerspace where students can turn ideas into real products, projects, campaigns and community solutions.

We have recently moved into PHS's new classroom building, giving our students an exciting, modern space to learn in. Now we want the resources and equipment to match the innovation and potential of the building itself.

We have 500 students studying Business, Accounting, Economics and Legal Studies. With the right equipment and support, they will be able to design and make products, analyse costs and demand, explore legal and ethical responsibilities, create marketing content and work with local businesses.

Our original target for the full Makerspace project was $140,000. Thanks to a generous anonymous grant, community contributions can now be matched up to $70,000 — but only if we raise the other half ourselves.

That is why we are posting on social media daily until we raise $70,000. We will also run a Business Hub Print Shop and other fundraisers, so students can help raise money in an entrepreneurial and innovative way.
