On behalf of the family, I would like to share a brief update.

Sandeep’s mortal remains reached Punjab, India over the weekend. His last rites were carried out by his loved ones, surrounded by family and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone for their continued love, support, and prayers during this deeply difficult time.

      Hi there,

I just saw that the donation option has been closed, I am extremely interested in donating. Would there be a way to donate, despite you closing it.

      Thanks

  • Fundraising Update – On behalf of the family

      19 January 2026

On behalf of the family, we would like to share a brief update.

Sandeep’s mortal remains are in the process of being sent back to India. He was taken to Auckland yesterday to begin the necessary arrangements.

Manpreet and the children have remained in India and are awaiting Sandeep’s return so that his last rites can be carried out there, surrounded by extended family and friends.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of the 708 people who have donated so far. Your generosity, kindness, and support have been deeply moving and mean more than words can express.

A special thank you to the mainstream media outlets and several Indian news networks in New Zealand who, over the weekend, helped raise awareness of this fundraiser — and more importantly, shared Sandeep’s story. He was a good man, gone far too soon.

We would also like to acknowledge that a number of friends and family members have supported Manpreet and the family directly. While these contributions may not be reflected in the Givealittle total, they are deeply appreciated.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave messages of love and support. In due course, Manpreet and the children will read them, and we are confident they will draw great strength from your words.

    With sincere gratitude,

    Thank you all.

  • On behalf of the family, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and continued support.

It is with profound sadness that I have had to set up this fundraiser.

Brother Sandeep was one of the most kind-hearted and genuine souls — someone who radiated love, warmth, and positive energy to everyone around him.

At the time of this tragedy, our sister Manpreet had just arrived in India with the children. Urgent plans are now being made for her and the kids to travel back.

All funds raised through this page will go directly to Sandeep’s wife, Manpreet Kaur, to support her and the family during this incredibly difficult time.

There will be many unimaginable challenges ahead for Manpreet and the family. Any support you are able to offer will help ease some of the immediate pressures they now face.

On behalf of the family, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and continued support.

    Himanshu Parmar (Ash)
