At just four years old, Indie has endured more pain, suffering and medical trauma than most people will experience in an entire lifetime. Since the day she was born, her life has been a relentless cycle of hospital admissions, emergency helicopter transfers, surgeries, theatre visits, intensive care stays and countless painful medical procedures. Therapy cannot erase everything she has been through, and there are no guarantees about what she will achieve. But after everything our little girl has endured, we want to give her every possible opportunity to progress. Give her the chance to fight for milestones and a better quality of life. We cannot give her back the hundreds of nights she has spent in hospital. We cannot take away the pain of countless needles, surgeries, intensive care admissions or the trauma she has endured. She cannot independently sit (nearly), stand or walk. Her little body has faced enormous challenges, so much of her childhood has been taken up by simply trying to survive. Raising funds for specialised intensive physical therapy to help build strength, develop movement and work towards achieving milestones. This page will give Indie the opportunity to carry on with her intensive therapy at Centre of Movement. The financial toll has been enormous. Toni has had to leave her career to care for Indie, while Russ misses work during hospital admissions, leaving our family with no income during these times. Donations will also help ease the financial strain.
Please see our previous Givealittle page here: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/supporting-the-gorgeous-indie-on-her-intensive
The funds will go towards more intensive therapy sessions, flights (travel), living costs, accommodation and big sister Zahli (5) joining her family on Indie’s treatment journey.
