Supporting the McCarthy Whānau

Brad, Charlotte (5) and Emily (2) McCarthy are grieving the loss of their beautiful wife and Mama, Laura. Laura found out she had breast cancer when Emily was barely 6 months old - instantly their lives changed with the challenges of parenting a baby and a toddler now joined by entering the world of cancer treatment with scans, appointments, chemotherapy, surgery, infusions, as well the physical and mental toll all of this takes on everyone in the family. Laura was a truly incredible and inspiring mum to her daughters and the gap she leaves feels huge. Brad has been Laura's primary carer in these last few months, having taken a year off work so he could prioritize spending time with Laura and the girls. Your donation to this beloved family will help them with day to day life and give them the gift of the time and space they need to grieve and support each other, without the financial pressure for Brad to return to fulltime work. There is no target for funds raised but we just want to show our deep aroha for these special people in this unfathomably difficult time so anything you can give will be so gratefully received.
