      23 January 2022

It is with immense sadness that I let you all know that Nathan passed away on January 20, 2022, peacefully at the Otago Community Hospice after a courageous battle. Claire & the boys are devastated but so very grateful for all the incredible support received from around the world over the last few months. He will be sorely missed by his family all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace Nathan x

  • Update and thank you message from Claire

      21 August 2021

It's hard to know where to begin to thank you all for the overwhelming support we've received since Nathan's diagnosis. It's obviously dropped a bomb into the middle of our lives but we're trying to keep things as normal as possible for our boys.

Nathan has started on the targeting treatment plan for his metastasis melanoma, both the oral medication (daily) and IV immunotherapy in Christchurch (monthly). He's had a few minor side effects but is otherwise well. He's still coaching our son's soccer team and getting out on the farm where he can.

We've been completely blown away by the love and support we've received from you all. The generosity you've shown through this page is just incredible and we can't thank you enough. We really appreciate your messages, phone calls, bake sales, care packages, walks on the beach...the list goes on. We've really felt the love and support from close to home and far away, and we are so incredibly grateful for it all.

    Aroha nui x

Hi, my name is Kylie and I am so sorry to hear about Nathans diagnosis.

I work for a charity called TimeOut. We connecting generous holiday homeowners all around the country who are willing to donate a stay to a person diagnosed with a terminal illness so that they can connect & make special memories with family & friends.

TimeOut stays are on hold in the North Island, but we are still able to facilitate them in the South Island.

If this family are interested in applying or just want to find out more, we would love so assist. They can apply online at www.timeoutnz.org or email info@timeoutnz.org with any questions.
