Supporting the safe journey home of the late Joeli Vidiri

Auckland

Joeli Vidiri was an incredible rugby player, friend, father, son and husband. The magical winger gave us so much joy with his dynamic footwork on the field and his humble nature and willingness to help anyone off the field.

The flying Fijian played for Pukekohe, Counties Manukau, Auckland, the Blues, New Zealand Sevens, New Zealand Barbarians, New Zealand A, the All Blacks, Barbarians FC and Fiji 15s and Sevens. Throughout his rugby career, Joeli touched the lives of many people both on and off the field. Now it’s our turn to do something for him and his family.

Joeli was tragically taken from us at the age of 48 whilst in America with his wife, so the funds generated from this page will go towards the huge expense of bringing Joeli’s body back to New Zealand. Anything over that amount will go towards paying for his funeral service and assisting his family to farewell him.

The final whistle may have blown but that big smile will never be forgotten.
