In memorial of Bree Mackay - supporting youth mental health
Bree fought hard and long in her battle with her mental health. Sadly, she lost that battle recently.
Bree lived her life enthusiastically. She was smart, sassy, artistic, occasionally cranky, and super stylish. She was a very much loved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She will be missed.
Bree's family, parents, Kevin and Marj, sister, Fritha, and daughters, Tilly and Violet would like to set up a small fund in her name and would love your support to make that possible. The fund will be used to support youth mental health in the Wairarapa where Bree grew up.

Funds raised will be used to support youth mental health in Wairarapa. Bree's family is working with Wairarapa College (where Bree was a student) so funds can be allocated to programmes that aim to support the mental health wellbeing of their students.
Bree Mackay Memorial Fund 24 June 2024
A meeting has been held with the Principal and Guidance Counsellor at Wairarapa College. The college was chosen to receive the Givealittle funds as it was Bree's old school. A Memorandum of Understanding has been agreed to. This MOU designates how the fund can be spent and who can make decisions about the activities funded. It is envisioned that the fund will last for 5 - 10 years with a commitment from the college to hold fund raising activities to top up the fund annually. Activities will include activities that support at risk students, the cost of involving helping agencies, funding for guest speakers and resources. A report will be provided annually to the Mackay family as to how the fund has been used. The Mackay family can request a report at any time. The overall consideration for all expenditure is to gain maximum effect in keeping with the ethos and intention of the fund.
