Supporting Tamaryn Peddie following the Loss of Her Daughter

$17,460 donated
Given by 331 generous donors in 10 weeks

Supporting a grieving mum after the tragic loss of her 14-year-old daughter, helping with funeral costs and financial support.

Waikato, Waikato District

We are reaching out to support our colleague and friend during the most heartbreaking time of her life. Recently, she tragically lost her beloved 14-year-old daughter, her only child.

As a devoted hard working single mother, her daughter was the centre of her world. The sudden loss has left her facing unimaginable grief while also dealing with the many unexpected expenses that come with arranging a farewell and managing day-to-day living costs while taking time away from work.

At this difficult time, we hope to ease some of the financial pressure so she can focus on grieving, healing, and honouring her daughter’s memory without the added burden of financial stress.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will go towards funeral and associated costs, household expenses, and

supporting her while she takes the time she needs away from work.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping her and her family in your thoughts would also mean a great deal.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time.

Whanau Update  22 July 2026

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has donated, shared the page, and sent messages Your kindness and generosity have meant alot.

The funeral and memorial service has been held in Te Kauwhata, at the high school with a wonderful turnout of family, friends, colleagues, and members of the community who came together to honour and celebrate a beautiful young life.

Tamaryn and her family are deeply grateful for the support they have received so far. Your donations have helped ease some of the financial burden during this heartbreaking time.

A memorial seat has also been purchased for the school as a special place of reflection. It serves as a symbolic space where anyone who is having a difficult day can sit, take a moment, and remember that they are not alone.

Tamaryn continues to navigate the unimaginable loss of her daughter, she is currently unable to return to work. She has also made the difficult decision that she cannot return to her home as it holds too many painful memories. For now, she will be relocating to be closer to loved ones while she takes the time she needs to grieve and begin the long journey toward healing.

Every donation continues to make a real difference by helping cover everyday living expenses while she is unable to work and rebuild her life.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and continued support. Please continue to keep Tamaryn and her family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
