    Jethro had to have his plasma treatment a few days late last week. It is so scary to see how much his blood pressure dropped with delayed plasma infusions. We really need help to reach our goal of 10,000 hands!! Please help!

    Support for Jethro Morrow Please, please, please take the time to read this particular post and fill in a submission for us. This could be the most influential thing you could do for Jethro and a few others in the country whose lives depend on getting Soliris. As many of you will be aware Jethro is the only one in NZ needing Soliris for his condition, but there are several sufferers of PNH who also require Soliris to survive. For several months now they have been working on trying to get Pharmac and the Government to negotiate a deal to have it funded for them (which if had been successful may have opened doors for it to be easier on Jethro getting approved). Sadly however, I have just heard that not only were they declined, but Pharmac are working very hard on putting a case together to support why it shouldn't be funded. It is very hard on everyone affected by not having this medicine as hope looks further and further away. The one thing I beg of everyone reading this to do is to send a submission to Pharmac in response to them declining funding. You can find all the information on this link below, including a template for your submission and where to send it at the top right-hand side http://www.pnhsanz.org.nz/ Yes this will take 5-10 mins of your time which I know a lot of people can't be bothered with, but please understand Jethro and several others will not have any time at all at some point without the help of others.

    A big thank you to all of you who have helped so far!!!! We still have a long way to go but if we can get enough submissions to get Soliris funded it would be fantastic!!!! I understand that money is tight for many of us, but five minutes of your time would be an amazing gift also. Please pass the word around to as many people as you can!! Thank-you :)

    Latest news is that the government have been meeting with people who are affected by conditions that can only be helped with Soliris. Jethro is one of 9 people in the country now that only have a chance with this drug. The government have been asked,yet again,to consider subsidising the drug to help them live a life.Let us hope they finally see sense!!!! With all fundraising in the last year,Jethro's trust has finally hit the $100,000 mark due in no small part to the amazing sponsors,volunteers and your good selves. We still have a way to go but thank you,each and every one, for your help. Please continue to give a little (or a lot :) ) to help this awesome little boy live the life he deserves.
