Support Kaukapakapa Playground

Kaukapakapa is a small rural community whose families need to drive 15 minutes to access a playground. The community has expressed a need for a local play space for our children and for families to meet and have fun.

The playground has been designed as a natural play area that is diverse, dynamic and flexible to support a wide range of children's play. It consists of landscaping interspersed with a series of walkways, natural play items such as trees stumps and stepping stones, and interactive items such as skink/ weta houses. Included in the playground are four play items: a double slide, triple swings, balance bridge and monkey bars.
