Our dear Keitha is fighting the serious effects of Crohn's Disease while growing her first baby
Auckland
At the beginning of her second trimester Keitha was suddenly diagnosed with Crohn's disease which unexpectedly appeared from suppressed pregnancy immunity & a C-diff gut battle that meant within a week she had to undergo emergency surgery to remove her whole large intestine, install an ileostomy and deal with major surgery rehab all while pregnant with their first baby. Both Keitha and baby have had to fight for their lives multiple times, and there have been harrowing days when both their survival was on the edge. Luckily they are real fighters and are staying as strong as possible during this difficult time with the support from her wonderful husband Brett and their families.
Keitha has recently been released from her second long stint in hospital after battling multiple blockages and blood infections. She is slowly on the mend and we hope her recovery goes smoothly from here on.
A couple of stories have been written about Keithas battle and you can read them here:

I've made this page because Keitha and Brett are dear friends of mine.
All funds raised will go towards helping Keitha, Brett and Baby pay for everyday living expenses and any medical costs required.
Keitha is home 19 December 2017
As some of you will know Keitha and baby managed to fight through multiple complications during this last 25 day stint in hospital and are now recovering at Brett's family home. Hopefully soon Keitha and Brett will be back in their own little place so they can start preparing for baby's arrival in March. Thank you so much for your donation and for all the love and support sent to Keitha and Brett during this trying time. If you would like to raise more awareness for their Givealittle fundraising page please share on your social media.
Keitha is currently 25 weeks pregnant and we can't wait to meet their little bubba.
Many thanks!
