  • Radiation time approaches

      28 March 2018

Hi everyone, thank you again for all of your support for our Jo Jo.

This battle against Dave has been a huge road for all involved and our amazing strong and positive Jo keeps on showing us just how amazing she is and what she I capable of.

Please see her latest Facebook update below.

    Love of love ❤️❤️

Thought I’d update my Facebook support crew of the latest on ‘Dave’. 🤢

So apparently, because Dave left behind 40% of his friends when he was taken out, the dr doesn’t think we killed Dave hard enough with the first 6 months of chemo! So....he wants me to have my radiation and then start another 6 months of chemo!!! Urghhh!!!! Tablets this time, side effects likely but might get to keep my spunky hairdo. Can’t work as I’ll be ‘hot’ and can’t play with the patients.

So, here we go again peeps. I’ll keep you posted on anything exciting. 💕💕💕

  • Bye bye Dave!👋

      2 March 2018

    2/3 done.....

Surgery done and dusted 27th February, Jo is an absolute trooper.

Facebook update 2nd March 2018 from Jo.

"Good news at the specialists!! The 3 nodes they took out are all clear, hip hip hooray!! 😋😆. So nasty Dave spilled out into the tissue but didn’t make it to the train station, lol! Next up, radiation to blast any little leftovers. 😈

We are very happy with the news. 🍷🍹🍻"

Thanks again everyone for all your amazing support xxx

  • 1/3 down 2 to go

25 weeks of chemo completed, next steps surgery and radiation. All your donations have been greatly received by Jo and have helped so much, thank you doesn't seem big enough.

Sharing Jo's Facebook post from 30th January:

What an awesome day, last chemo celebration!!! Started with me forgetting to get my blood test yesterday, blame it on chemo brain! So had to have the party while I was getting my Iv fluids before the poison. Never mind, oops. Xxx. Sorry chemo girls. 😁😍

Had a bit of a incident with the rather expletive cake the girls ordered! It came to the private hospital and they thought, no, we wouldn't order a cake that nasty! So sent it to over the road to public hospital thinking it was for a big meeting they were having over there! Nope, they sent it back, I don't blame them, it read F... off day, instead F... off Dave ( breast lumps name)!!!! They probably thought they were all getting fired, bahahahaha, lol. 😁. So we had a good laugh about that!!!

The first round stared with m & ms up my nose, so I had to end on cheese twists today! Note to self.....cheese twists are much sharper and scratchier than m & ms!!

We had yummy food, thanks everyone for bringing, and great company. I said a little speech that will never articulate just how I feel about my amazing work family and friends that came too. 💋💋💋. I love you all to bits n pieces and couldn't have travelled this journey in such style without each and every one of you.....thank you for that!! 🙂💗💗💗

I'm looking forward to the next big event, surgery! Booked in end of February and I'm sure we will have just as much fun with that, but don't be mean to me when I'm coming out of my anaesthetic ok!!!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all in FB land. 💗💗💗. You all have helped me through this tricky time and given me good laughs and encouragement and love, and I love you right back!!

Last but not least, I would love to thank the Mater Private hospital, my surgeon and oncologist, and it's love and care for its staff members. ❤️. Apparently I'm 'special cargo' and worth looking after!! And that they have!!!! Thank you Mater. You practice what you preach. 😇😇😇

That's all folks, sleep tight. Until next time....❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • Half way

      22 November 2017

    Hi everyone

Just want to shout out a massive thank you for all your kind donations for Jo so far. I will be transferring her money to aussie today.

She is doing bloody amazingly! Half way through her chemo already and if anyone can rock chemo and bring it some fun Jo is the gal to do it.

Hope you have all been keeping up-to-date with her Tuesday Facebook posts.

The 1st round of chemo is complete and her 1st dose of "The Red Devil" went in yesterday. No drug reaction so that's fab news.

She has had amazing support crews going with her on Tuesdays. My plan was to share weekly photos but that hasn't happened.

3 doses to go, this one is every 3 weeks. Love you Jojo keep smiling and being amazing as you always are even while kicking Dave's butt ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

      18 October 2017

Jo no longer has a NZ bank account, so we have agreed with givealittle to have the money raised paid into my account and I will transfer it to Jo's Australian account.
