Sadly on July 30th, my little sister Kiera (Kai) passed away. Unfortunately to give her the service we think she would have enjoyed comes at a pretty large cost for us (around $10,400 NZD). Kai was a quiet and introverted person but always had something funny to say. She loved creating and drawing and helping people however she could. She never feared getting her hands a bit dirty and always made sure people were looked after before herself. Sadly she lost her battle with her mental health struggles, any additional funds will be donated to a local mental health awareness charity.

Kai’s family and myself are absolutely floored by the amount of support and love we’ve been shown over the last week. No words can express how truly grateful we are for everyone’s donations, conversations and shares for our page. Kai would be so very shocked to see how much love was here for her and how many people cared about her. Thank you all to those who attended and allowed us to have such a beautiful service for her, the one she absolutely deserved. We’re certain she would be proud ❤️
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month next month, we’ll be keeping this page up until 1 September.
Please please please talk to your friends and family about how they’re doing and their mental health, it’s important we look after each other 🫶🏻
