We are bringing the legendary James Aspey to Wellington, and we need your help.

As many other Wellingtonians, we at SUfA were also rather disappointed when we realised that the vegan animal rights legend James Aspey was not venturing all the way to Wellington in his latest visit to our shores. Therefore, we decided to bring him back! We collaborated with another small and awesome grassroots group from Christchurch (Christchurch Animal Rights Action – CARA) to invite James back to New Zealand, and this time visiting Christchurch and Wellington. Speak Up For Animals will host James in our beautiful city and we are planning a wide range of speeches and activities for him. The flight tickets were already purchased and planning is underway. He will stay in Wellington for 3.5 days. Over this time there are plenty of expenses involved: we owe CARA money for the flight tickets from Australia, we purchased his ticket from Christchurch to Wellington, we are booking several venues for his public speeches, there are travel costs, feeding… and we have very little money in the kitty. We rely on your support.

Use of funds

We roughly estimate the total cost to be near NZD 1000k. Every donation would help our depleted bank account and will help all of us to realise our shared dream – to have James Aspey here in Wellington! Any donation, even very small, would be greatly appreciated. Any amount not used by the planning of this visit, will be a direct donation to Speak Up For Animals to use for future activities for the animals.
