  • We are almost there!     26 July 2016

    Having been required to pay $24000, we are down to the last $747!!!! This is to repay a personal loan made to stave off the bankruptcy proceedings Taranaki Regional Council took out. Any and every dollar to clear this final sum will be much appreciated.

    Unlike the Council, who could just use ratepayer funds to pay the $272 000 bill for legal fees alone to pursue this debt, we have had to raise every dollar, much of it from our local community of Waitara. Sometimes the poorest communities show the greatest generosity.

  • Just $1800 To Go     27 May 2016

    Just $1800 to go! Thanks to wonderful generosity and support, we have raised $22, 200 (or whatever it is) to repay the money claimed by TRC for a resource consent hearing. A generous benefactor loaned us the balance to stop the TRC bankruptcy proceedings on the three individuals they were hounding for the debt but we need to repay that final $1800. Any help will be gratefully received.
