Surgery for cocos tumor removal, aftercare and dental care

Weymouth, Auckland

Hi all. This is our fur baby Coco - she is an 8 year old Pit bill x sharpei.

3 years ago we noticed coco had 2 small lumps on her tummy and we took her to the vet straight away to get it checked out. Vet told us they were fatty lumps and that she’d be ok but to keep a close eye on it incase it grew bigger then we’d have to take her in and get looked at again.

Her lumps have gotten bigger since then and we have taken her back late last month to run blood tests and as a result have been told that her lumps on her tummy are mast cell tumors along with a new lump on her back leg 😭

She will need to get them surgically removed and get more tests because the new lump on her back leg - the blood sample came back stickier than the other samples. The amount we will need is $2800 and that will cover her surgery and the little bit extra for her aftercare needs and overdue dental care.

Doing this page up is new for us and something we wouldn’t normally do but cos it’s a big amount and having 2 other dogs to care for we are just worried that if this surgery doesn’t happen soon that her tumors may get worse.

We would truly appreciate any donations given big or small 🙏🏽

Use of funds

Majority of the funds will be spent on Cocos surgery and the little bit extra for her aftercare needs and overdue dental care.
