Nepali Grandmother Needs Help to Pay for Surgery

    Mama Kalden has been discharged from hospital now and she is being cared for by a cousin in Kathmandu near Boudhanath stupa. She needs to stay in Kathmandu for now so she can have regular check-ups at the hospital and to improve her walking which will take time because of her age. Lama Pasang reports that his Mum is very easy to care for, she eats whatever she is given and she doesn't talk much, she just recites Om Mani Padme Hung which is helping to heal her physical and mental suffering.

    The family sends their love and thanks to all the generous people who have made donations to help their dear Mum.

    Thank you everyone for such a wonderful effort! Lama Pasang has let us know that Kalden will be discharged from hospital this week. Her leg still has a long way to go, but she is able to walk with the aid of a walker. She will be cared for in Kathmandu over the winter months as she will not be able to return to her village until she is able to walk on her own. More information and photos soon.
