Sustainable Camp Site Project
Instead of buying a birthday present to celebrate Kate's 50th birthday - why not make a donation to the Lodge's new exciting project?

The Lodge has bunk room accommodation for up to 48 people - but we would like to offer our visitors the opportunity to camp on the lodge grounds as well.
Many schools want to take their classes camping but don't want the additional stresses of finding safe and secure locations.
By offering a small Camp Site at the Lodge we can give the option for groups to both stay at the lodge and offer students a camping opportunity.
Some of your schools do not have the money to give their kids this opportunity -I would love to see any money raised going towards this cool sustainable (solar run) camp site.
We are in the process of fundraising so that we can install:
A solar powered water pump system, a solar powered kitchen 'shed' and a closed vault long drop toilet.
We would also like the option of hiring tents to groups who don't own any.
About us
The Pirongia Forest Park Lodge is a non for profit trust that offers camps for Waikato Youth. It also offers other Schools and Youth Groups the opportunity to come and experience the amazing Forest Park.
Use of funds
We already have some Pirongia Ward Council funding that will get this project off the ground. Any funds will go towards the initial costs and any additional money will go towards buying camping equipment for groups to hire for a minimal cost.
