Swimming has shaped my life from the start, and this October I’ll continue chasing my dream of representing New Zealand on the world stage.
Auckland
Swimming has always been an important part of my life, giving me opportunities to meet incredible people, travel, and dedicate my life to something I truly love.
I’ve proudly represented New Zealand at senior international level since 2019 and recently, I have been selected onto the New Zealand team to compete in the 2025 World Aquatics World Cup swimming Series, with stops in Indianapolis and Illinois, USA in October. This a huge step forward in my career and an incredible opportunity to line up against the best in the world.
This trip is a chance to show the years of physical and mental work and sacrifice I have dedicated to the sport and it is a massive step toward my ultimate dream of becoming one of the best in the world.
However, as a young athlete who has moved away from home, the reality is that swimming is an expensive sport where sponsorship opportunities are hard to come by. Therefore, most of the costs fall directly on us and our families.
International racing is not a luxury but a necessity at this level, and unfortunately, I’ve had to turn down opportunities to represent New Zealand in the past due to financial constraints.
That’s why I’m reaching out for support. Any donation, big or small, will help cover the costs of competing at the Swimming World Cup Series and allow me to continue representing New Zealand with pride.
Your support will help me fight the financial barriers that stand in the way of an opportunity I’ve worked so hard for.
Thank you sincerely.
All funds raised will go directly toward covering the costs of the trip, including return flights from the USA, transfers, accommodation, and food for the duration of the World Cup Swimming Series.
