Take Action for Kāpiti – Help Us Advocate for Transparency & Responsible Council Spending!"

$100 donated
Given by 5 generous donors in around 9 months

Empowering the Kāpiti Coast community to take action for a more transparent, efficient, and community-focused council.

Wellington, Kapiti Coast District

Concerned Ratepayers Kapiti is a resident’s group dedicated to the Kapiti Coast.

We aim to have a positive influence in the activities of KCDC in the coming months leading to the local body elections this year

We will raise awareness of and promote more community led, transparent and democratic involvement in KCDC activities.

By understanding and reducing the projected (and unreasonable) rate increases

Ensuring the KCDC operates within a reasonable and transparent budget and gets its spending under control, by lobbying for lower rate increases as part of the upcoming annual planning process

Finding and endorsing current and new candidates who will put the community’s views and interests first

Use of funds

Public meeting costs (hall hireage); advertising & promotion (posters, flyers, social media); website costs
