Tarissa Mitchell
Tarissa Mitchell could use a bit of help. She was kicked in the face by a horse & has suffered a very serious eye injury & facial fractures.

Those of you who know Tarissa know that she is a very positive, strong, capable, independent woman. On October 9th she was seriously injured. Tarissa's eye injury is very serious & she has more surgery ahead of her. It is unknown if she will regain any sight in the eye. She was at Riccarton Racecourse in Christchurch with 5 racehorses for the Cup Week racing carnival. Tarissa was taken to Christchurch Hospital & has had a couple of surgeries already & more likely.

Peggy Eriksen & myself are involved because Tarissa is a good person in a tough position & if she were here at home in Cambridge many of us would be able to help in a practical manner. As she is in Christchurch this is not possible so we feel another way to help her & quickly, is to raise some money. Thank you so much for your consideration. Any amount big or small will help.
Use of funds
Tarissa needs to employ a capable horse person to help her get through the next few weeks of uncertainty. She is self employed & those of you in the same situation know that ACC will not be sufficient to cover the cost of a worker. To enable her to manage this very difficult situation we would like to raise some money for her to use in which ever way will help her get through this tough period & mend as quickly as she can.

Thanks to everyone that has financially supported me though an unfortunate mishaps. I am so humble and grateful for everyone's contribution it is going to be a huge help towards getting back on my feet. It hasn't been easy needing to employ people to do the job that I love!
Luckily I have an amazing partner Carl that lives down here in Christchurch that has been my rock. I have employed a girl called Karina and she has stepped up amazingly also! This is an amazing industry to be in when things get tough! A lot of people have help me out in many different ways.
I am doing very and will be heading home after cup week. 🤞fingers crossed we can end on a high note but if we don't let's hope we have a safe travel home thanks everyone again much appreciated
