Te Huringa - The Turning Point

  • Anything is Everything

      21 January 2020

    Kia ora

From what I have received so far, I can definitely pay to attend several important wananga, just not the specific one I was hoping for.

I’ve removed the goal because I didn’t think it was fair to keep it when I have missed out on the wananga I had hoped to do.

I will be posting a video to my social media accounts first thing tomorrow morning.

Be sure to check it out.

    Nga mihi

    Paaka

  • Getting Closer To The End

      21 January 2020

    Kia ora whanau

Just wanted to update you all on where we’re at.

It looks like we might not hit the target, and that’s ok.

Mahi a Atua do run single day wananga so I will be attending one or more of these in the near future, but have also found a some other wananga that align with my kaupapa of gaining knowledge to be able to pass on to our rangatahi.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far, nga mihi nui ki a koutou. You are also contributing to the betterment of our young people who need the support.

    Much love whanau

    Nāku noa, nā Paaka

Ps. I will be uploading a wee video for you guys over at @paakadavisismyname on Instagram today, stay tuned.

    Kia ora whanau

Well, it’s time to do a big push and see if we can get closer to my target.

I’ve had a lot of whanau and friends personally ask questions about the course, and the funds, what the money will be used for if I don’t reach my target, if I’m interested in other wananga, and I thought a fun way to answer these would be through a video.

Will be a useful tool to share the kaupapa, as well as connect with each other so I will plan to have that for you on Thursday this week.

Also, my Instagram profile is where I share the most on.

Feel free to follow over there at @paakadavisismyname.

    Ngā mihi nui

    Nāku noa, nā Paaka Davis

  • New Update

      2 January 2020
    Main image

I didn’t get to post a video last night about progress but it is my priority today.

I decided to add the target goal, and extend the date to give me, and you, a bit more time to make this happen. I had a lot of questions on my FB and IG about it, hence the update.

I look forward to touching base with you guys as we move along this journey together.

Also, attached a photo so you know what I look like. Mataora revealed by Hirini Katene (Heeds) @ The Native Studios.

Nga mihi tino nui mo te tau hou x

  • What a way to start the decade 💙

      1 January 2020

Feeling extremely grateful for the support of my Givealittle campaign so far. Thank you so much to my donors. I will be putting a video up this evening for you all.

    Some more information for you:

Te Whare Wānanga o Te Kurahuna is the only training institute that provides Mahi a Atua training.

If you want to know more about this Whare Wananga, check out ‘Mahia a Atua’ on both FB and IG. You can also check out their website at www.mahiaatua.com.

The full cost for this wananga is $3500 + gst. If I am unable to raise this, I will use the money raised to attend the smaller one day Wananga they offer throughout the year.

If you have any questions, don’t be shy, haere mai.

  • Underestimated Costs

      30 December 2019

After looking into travel to and from Gisborne, the cost of fixing my laptop and the 5% that goes back to Givealittle, I have decided to make this an open target.
