Kia ora whānau

We are a small local roofing business based in Kaikohe and over time we have seen how many families are living with leaking roofs and homes that are not properly protected.

While this is our full time mahi, we have also been doing what we can in our own time to help whānau with urgent repairs where there is need. The reality is there is far more demand than we can manage on our own.

This Givealittle has been set up to help us continue that support. All koha will go directly towards roofing materials, travel, and the costs involved in completing repairs for whānau who need it most.

Our aim is simple, to help keep our people dry, safe, and looked after in their homes.

We are the roofing business providing the repair work and using this fund to support whānau in need by covering material costs while offering our labour free.

Use of funds

The fund goes directly towards roofing materials and job costs needed to complete repairs for whānau (Roofing materials, roofing Irons, fastener (eg:screws/rivets), sealant, Roofing paper, and gas to get to whānau houses), while all labour is given free. This support helps us cover essential supplies so we can keep getting urgent roofing work done.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
