To everyone that contributed to our bucket list funds.
We cannot thank you all enough for what you've enabled us to do while we still have the time to do it.
Because of your donations we've now seen most of NZ, places we hadn't already been but were on our bucket list to do and are now ticked off the list, and we have absolutely loved every minute of every trip. We've done a campervan trip of Coromandel peninsula and on to East Cape area. Next we did the Cook Strait ferry, traveled down from Picton to Christchurch stopping at Kaikoura for a couple of days and doing a fixed wing aerial whale watch tour, on to Dunedin and down through the Catlins to Invercargill (where we met up with three Cookie mates in the pub) then as it was Bluff oyster season on to Bluff to sample the wares, then finally to Stewart Island for a few days (we need to go back for a bit longer). The next trip was a week in The Chathams (DO IT!), the next one a two night cruise in Doubtful Sound (DO THIS TOO!!!! Real Adventures) and a day cruise in Milford Sound. Then back to our beloved Raro for 10 days, we should be there now but have rebooked for late October (🤞the whales are still there). We still need to do the TransAlpine train trip, we've tried three times so far and each has been COVID canceled, we're going to do it ASAP.
Words fail us as to how to thank everyone for your incredible generosity and support, thankyou seems a bit feeble, but it's the best I can come up with. What I will say is; go out and enjoy life (even if you are a bit limited in COVID lockdown, you can still make the plans) do the things you want to, start ticking off your bucket list now, start making a bucket list if you haven't got one, none of us know what's around the corner, live with enjoyment not regrets. Finally, get a regular Wellness Check/ body& mind W.O.F. with your GP. My cancer was picked up through such a check, unfortunately it's going to end badly
(barring a rather large miracle) but the initial prognosis was very good, I just got the short straw. If it hadn't been detected when it was I wouldn't be writing this and we wouldn't have got to do all of the above.
